Kalgoorlie Truck Pull World Record Attempt held on Sunday 17th October 2004

Congratulations to all who participated, sponsored and lent a hand in breaking the Guinness World Record!

The team in Kalgoorlie pulled a road train with 100 trailers over 1 mile (1600m) on the Sunday 17^th October 2004.

The World Record first came to Western Australia in October 2000, however before WA broke the Guinness Record on the 17^th, it was held by the small town of Mungindi (NSW) who claimed the title on the 29^th March 2003.

The truck pull not only brought the World Record back to WA but to raised money for the Royal Flying Doctor Service, Telethon 2004 and other nominated charities such as Tenneti Lodge in Kalgoorlie.
