COURSE DURATION: 4 Days
COST: $890 per person

CONTENTS:
The course includes instruction on –
- Identifying developments in the pilot industry.
- Understanding the meaning of “Accredited Pilot/Authorised Person”.
- Performing the duties of an “Accredited Pilot/Authorised Person”.
- Preparing the piloting job.
- Preparing vehicle and equipment.
- Communicating with the driver of the load and other road users.
- Piloting the movement of an oversize load.
- Taking action in the case of an emergency or breakdown.
- Completing post job activities.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
Any person wishing to drive a pilot vehicle accompanying an oversize load where the permit requires an “Accredited Pilot/Authorised Person” vehicle or vehicles.
This requirement is set out in the Road Traffic Code (regulation 272. 1 (a) & (d).
